I wish this wouldn’t bring tears to your eyes,

Yet, tears fall, for we are all bound to cry.

Tragedy stroke, hard to discuss,

Inevitably, tears are leaving us.

___

Equality, a dream we strive to see,

Yet, tears mingle with my plea.

Hope, a beacon in the darkest night,

Still, tears accompany its fragile light.

___

Love, a force that binds us tight,

But tears…
