What does it truly mean to be romantic?
The Romantics had a simple mantra: "Return to nature." They turned away from the artificial urban life, seeking solace in the simplicity of country life and nature. Buying heart-shaped chocolates, going to the movies, or driving a fast car to impress someone might not be the most romantic acts. The true romantic dwelling is in nature, precisely within oneself, not necessarily entwined with another.

According to the dictionary, ‘romance’ is often defined as a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. However, I argue it's more profound – a state of mind, an artful way of perceiving the world. It's about transforming a mere moment into a cascade of emotions.
As Lord Byron eloquently proclaimed, "She walks in beauty, like the night." But who is this "she"? It could be a person, certainly, but it could also be the world around you. The romantic sees beauty in a dew-kissed morning, finds poetry in a well-brewed cup of coffee, and beholds magic in the dance of autumn leaves.
Now, let's dispel the myth that romance is exclusively tethered to relationships. Oh no, my friends, the most ardent romantics often roam free and single. Why? Because they've discovered the sweet spot – the art of loving life without necessarily having a designated co-star. The young and unattached often wear the romantic crown, as if they're swimming in a sea of endless visions.

Let me take you back to my cherished crown moments – evenings immersed in the verses of poetry, candles casting shadows on the walls. There were moonlit swims in a lake with girlfriends, feeling the rush of liberation as we shed societal norms along with our clothes. And who can forget the solo cinema escapades, sitting dead centre, absorbing the movie magic in splendid isolation?
The grandest romance belongs to the mind and its boundless imagination. It involves painting vivid scenes and crafting narratives that make your heart race and your spirit soar. In the theatre of the mind, you can be the protagonist of your most extravagant love story, complete with epic dialogues and a soundtrack composed by your dreams.

People often lose touch with their inner romantic as life's hustle takes over. Busy schedules and monotonous routines can eclipse the magic, turning once vibrant souls into pragmatic beings. But let this be a reminder – the flame of romance can be rekindled with a simple shift in perspective.
If you perceive yourself as not romantic at all, it's probably because you haven't harnessed your imagination to build another realm.
Welcome the romantic spirit.
'Welcome' is an interesting word, composed of 'well' and 'come’. We call such verbs ‘the weak’ verbs. Similarly, being romantic might seem like a weak quality because it doesn't create real content outside of yourself. Yet, remember, the most valuable content lies within you. Virtually no art is created without utilising your soul, your spirit, your mind, and your imagination. If you haven't welcomed the romantic spirit, do it now. It might help you fall in love with the world!
So, my friends, regardless of the date, embrace your inner romantic. Whether there's an evening plan for a date or not, cultivate the romantic spirit. Whether single or coupled, the romantic spirit resides within, waiting to be awakened by yourself, not by anyone else.
I really like it! I finally understand what it means! Thank you
