“We are performing maintenance on the database powering the publisher dashboard. Subscription count and subscriber dashboard data may be missing or out of date.” — the communication I read this morning.
I understand: "We're currently giving our database a spa day, so the publisher dashboard might be feeling a bit zen. Subscription counts and subscriber data might be taking a chill pill and deciding to play hide-and-seek. But your words won't get lost in the Bermuda Triangle of digital maintenance.

Is today the day? Can I finally unleash upon the unsuspecting public? Or will my profound thoughts end up being buried in the depths of my drawer, alongside old receipts and mismatched socks? The struggle is real. I'm just trying to avoid being the Shakespeare, who chases me of my sock drawer.
Honestly, I don't get the secret language of written communications. Can we just face the reader like it's a showdown at high noon? But wait, do they even want to face me? Nothing great to miss. I'm not ready for it, though, sans fear and armed with a keyboard.
And that heart at the bottom? It's not a declaration of wholehearted undying love. No, it's more like a casual thumbs-up, a digital high-five, or a polite golf clap. It doesn't mean you are donating your heart for a transplant – I don’t want you wholehearted. And don't worry, I'm not about to pull a Frankenstein and start operating on brains.
But hey, if you enjoy the content, give that heart a little tap. It's not like I'm asking for a kidney, just a small gesture. If you keep treating that heart button like it's the last piece of chocolate in the box, I might have to set sail for a platform with more waves. Yeah, they might charge a subscription fee, but at least I can do the backstroke in a sea of appreciation.
So, for the sake of my poor, good, neglected heart, leave a comment, hit that heart button, or prepare for the lonely waves as we bid each other farewell. Let's not turn this into a drama – you know how I don’t like using Theats and Threads, this is not one, just a digital plea for some likes. 🚀💔
Have a likeable day.
Ps: Let’s appreciate the people around us: men, women and children. Let’s do it by simple acts. Let’s not appreciate because of perfection but efforts. Let’s not wait for a special day to do it. Every day is Women’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and so on…
💙💙💙💙🙏🏻thank you for a daily dose of good writing and the time you took to notice what we all can see but take no time to ponder over 💙
