I sit calmly editing, another hour, that chapter that I am finally getting liked When the sirens go, the helicopter, not one, Many in Manny Hover around.
There is something fiercely alive in the refusal at the heart of this poem. The world may insist on fear, danger, and all the stories of what might happen next, but the final choice remains deeply personal: to keep living one’s own page. That last line carries the whole poem forward.
“I might be fanatical about living my own page right now.“ Could not agree more. The reality of our own life … is life …. in comparison to the mindless chaos that surrounds us. Great poem.

I read this as poetry … but then I wonder are you actually under threat?
Thank you for being so caring. We had that in the past and each time I ask myself what is going on. But I’ve always been safe.
That’s good … the world needs more artists, writers, editors, and good interviewers. 😅Like you.
